At Glenwood Springs Middle School we love working together to teach and learn and we strive to keep joy present each day. We are proud to have the opportunity to serve a diverse population of approximately 380 students in grades 6-8 in the beautiful mountain town of Glenwood Springs. We are an EL Education school that encourages students to be leaders of their own learning and we work to create the conditions that allow students to be their best. We publicly celebrate our work; we share our progress in student-led conferences; we serve our community; we tend to our Crew; and we think of learning as an adventure.

The Roaring Fork Schools are administering the annual Panorama Family Survey from March 3 until March 27, 2026. We are seeking feedback about your experience with your child’s school and the district at large. Your feedback is critical for helping Roaring Fork Schools identify bright spots and areas for improvement. Individual responses will be anonymous.
The Panorama Family Survey has been administered since the spring of 2018 in Roaring Fork Schools. You can see past results here. The family survey is designed to gather feedback about how we are doing on the specific commitments we have made to our community for our schools and our district. You can see those commitments in full in English and Spanish here.
The Family Survey about School provides each family the opportunity to give feedback on every school in which they currently have a student. We want to hear from you!

Dear Parents, pelase read the last Family and Community Newsletter of the 2025 year:

Dear parents, please read the latest newsletter full of great information:
If you or others would like to offer financial support, there are a few meaningful ways to do so: Monetary donations to the Family Resource Center (FRC) can be made directly through the Colorado Gives Day portal, which helps us continue offering emergency assistance to families in need. You may also choose to donate directly to Lift-UP or SANA, both of which are active partners supporting families across the Basalt and greater Roaring Fork community.
Roaring Fork Schools recently completed a detailed review of our special education programs, policies, and practices. The goal was to better understand what’s working well and where we can improve, from classroom environments and access to the general curriculum, to inclusive practices and support services. The study gathered feedback through focus groups, interviews, and classroom visits, and will help guide priorities for high-quality, inclusive programs that lead to positive outcomes for students with disabilities.
You can read more about the report here.
We also invite families to join us at the Family Advisory Council meeting on Sept. 16. For more information contact Sonia Roldan at sroldan@rfshcools.com
